SHABBONA – The boil order for people who live on Shabbona Road south of Cherokee Street was lifted midday Thursday, according to the village’s superintendent of public works.
Samples of the village’s water were collected, and the problem caused by two leaks, one right after the other, has been cleared up, Superintendent Randy Davis said Thursday.
“Everything is good to go,” he said.
The boil order, which urged residents to boil water before using it to prepare food or drink it, was issued Tuesday. Davis said it was the village’s first boil order in “several years.”
