DeKALB – The Egyptian Theatre in downtown DeKalb will welcome Marc Cohn live in concert at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9.
In 2016, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Cohn celebrated the 25th anniversary of his platinum-selling debut with a special tour performing the album from start to finish for the first time. Now, Cohn returns to the road to perform some of his quarter-century of rich, soulful songs.
Riding the wave of spontaneity and audience connection, no two performances are alike, and requests are always taken.
Cohn won a Grammy for his ballad “Walking in Memphis.” Rooted in the rich ground of American rhythm and blues, soul and gospel, he weaves vivid, detailed, often drawn-from-life tales that evoke some of our most universal human feelings: love, hope, faith, joy, heartbreak.
Tickets are now on sale for Friends of the Egyptian Theatre members. General public tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
The Egyptian Theatre, at 135 N. Second St. in DeKalb, is owned and operated by Preservation of Egyptian Theatre Inc. a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
