Teen anime-manga club at DeKalb Public Library

DeKALB – The Anime-Manga Club for Teens will meet not once, but twice, in June.

Teens and tweens are invited to join the Anime-Manga Club at the DeKalb Public Library for veteran otaku or newbie weaboos.

Watch and discuss anime and participate in a few fun activities.

No registration is required to attend this free club. It is intended for ages 12 to 19.

On Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., attendees can bring an old manga or comic to turn into a button to put on their backpack, bag or anywhere they want. One button will be provided.

On June 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., the group will learn the ancient Asian art of paper folding.

Learn basic folds and use them to create several origami pieces. All skill levels are welcome.

These programs will be held in the lower level Zimmerman Meeting Room.

For information, contact Susan at susang@dkpl.org or 815-756-9568, ext. 3400.
