SYCAMORE – Residents will be able explore a variety of vehicles during the next Tuesdays on the Town event 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The family event will feature a display of city vehicles including police cars, a fire truck, an ambulance, a street sweeper, a utility terrain vehicle and a large dump truck with a snow plow, according to a news release from Discover Sycamore. Other businesses that will display trucks include Accurate Towing, Finney’s Electric and Voluntary Action Center.

The event includes photo opportunities with the vehicles and a chance to spray a fire hose in the new farmers market parking lot.

Somonauk Street will be closed from State Street to Elm Street for the event, according to the release.

Tuesdays on the Town will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from June through September and will feature family-friendly activities. Downtown businesses will be open late and have special offers.
