A Wisconsin man faces driving under the influence charges after a crash late Friday that injured both him and a passenger in his vehicle. Mark C. Vaughn, 26, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, was driving a Ford Mustang west on Gurler Road, at the intersection of Anderland Road, when he lost control of the vehicle, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. The Mustang left the road on the south side, and the driver’s side of the vehicle hit a tree. It caromed off that tree, then came to a stop after hitting another tree head-on. The passenger, 26-year-old Michael Santiago of DeKalb, and Vaughn were taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital. Vaughn was cited for driving in the wrong lane, driving without insurance and driving under the influence.
