Scouts pilgrimage to Galena

Boy Scout Troop 2810, chartered out of Salem Lutheran Church in Sycamore, attended the US Grant Pilgrimage in Galena in late April. Sponsored by the Blackhawk Area Council, this annual weekend honors our veterans. Scouts were able to tour President Grant's home and watch several reenactors from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War. Scouts also participated in a bucket brigade relay, a trail hike, a climbing wall, a dodge ball tournament and a history hunt. A parade along Main Street rounded out the weekend.
