BLOCK Fest event in DeKalb postponed

DeKALB – The BLOCK Fest event slated for Friday at Ellwood Museum has been postponed because not enough people signed up, according to a news release from the museum.

The free event for children ages 8 months to 8 years is geared to test their math, science and architecture skills and presented by the Northern Illinois University Center for P-20 Engagement. A postponement date has not yet been announced, the release said.

BLOCK Fest was going to be the fifth of six summer programs offered by Ellwood Explorers, the museum’s youth summer education series. Programs last about an hour and take place rain or shine.

The Ellwood House Museum is at
509 N. First St. in DeKalb. For information, call curator Audrey Hale at 815-756-4609 or email hale@ellwoodhouse.org.
