DeKALB – DeKalb County United failed to avenge its first loss to Aurora Borealis, falling short again to its rival, 4-2, on Friday evening at the Northern Illinois Track and Field Complex.
DKCU’s offense was cold on a hot day that required a mandatory water break in the first half. The home team (3-5-0) failed to register a single shot on goal before halftime.
“We’ve been struggling offensively for about a month now,” DKCU coach Mike Gecan said. “Not enough penetrating balls. When we get opportunities, we don’t put balls on goal.”
