DeKALB – Trevor Noah, host of “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, has again postponed his DeKalb show for Sunday after previously rescheduling it.
Noah postponed his Northern Illinois University Convocation Center appearance scheduled for Nov. 10 because of illness. The show was scheduled for Sunday, but Noah had to postpone the rescheduled that show because his bruised vocal chords haven’t healed.
“I hate canceling shows, but I also hate the idea of losing my voice forever,” Noah said in a Tuesday statement. “So I’m postponing all this year’s stand-up shows and working hard on rehabbing the voice.”
Jill Fritzo, publicist for Noah, said Noah was not available for additional comment for the rest of the week.
NIU Convocation Center officials said in a Tuesday statement on Facebook that refunds will be granted once a new date is confirmed and announced.
“We at the Convo wish Trevor all the best in his journey to getting better, and we can’t wait to host a healthy Trevor Noah in 2019,” the statement said.
According to Ticketmaster, refunds are also available for those who want one, unless you have transferred tickets. For transferred tickets, a refund will go to the person who originally purchased the tickets.
All other tickets are eligible for a refund at Ticketmaster.com after you sign into your account. Refunds should post to the ticket holder’s account in seven to 10 business days.
The Convocation Center box office hours are 9 am to 5 p.m. on weekdays. For information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 815-752-6800.
