SYCAMORE – A DeKalb man accused of repeatedly pushing his 8 months’ pregnant girlfriend into a wall during an argument is free on his signature.
Christian M. Jarmon, 24, of the 900 block of Spiros Court, has been charged with aggravated domestic battery, typically punishable by three to seven years in prison upon conviction. He also has been charged with domestic battery.
Police said in court records that Jarmon got into a fight with the woman about 3:42 a.m. Friday at his apartment, where he was arrested. He was ordered to be released on his signature Saturday, and was barred any contact with the woman until further notice.
The records show Jarmon was projected to complete a partner abuse intervention program Thursday, which he agreed to attend after pleading guilty in April to domestic battery of the same woman. The records don’t show whether he did, in fact, complete all the session of the half-year program, the latest update filed Oct. 31 with the court showing he’d attended 10 sessions.
He’s due back in court on the latest charge at 9 a.m. Friday.
