DeKALB – Senior citizens will have a chance to get their car checked over for free April 27.
For those 60-years-old and above, you may bring your vehicle to the DeKalb Township Building, 2323 S. Fourth St., Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The 25-point vehicle inspection – which will not include an oil change or repairs – will be conducted by automotive students and instructors from Kishwaukee College. The check will help determine if your vehicle is in need of repairs or safe to drive.
For those interested, free snacks and beverages will also be provided while your car is being checked over.
The inspection is hosted by DeKalb County TRIAD, an organization made up of law enforcement, community services, and senior networks to service the needs of the elderly community in DeKalb County. Each spring, TRIAD partners with DeKalb Township and Kishwaukee College to offer free vehicle inspections.
