Having the support of his coaches at Sycamore proved another push in the right direction.
“The coaching staff was great at Sycamore,” Lozeau said. “As soon as I told them about my commitment to NIU, they really took my training up. They got me ready for the next level, especially with all the previous college athletes we’ve had through the Sycamore football program, it made the transfer a lot easier.”
Lozeau saw more time on the field against Ross, a defensive back in his time at DeKalb and a safety at NIU, he now gets the chance to share the offensive side of football with Tucker, who has been a first-team receiver this spring.
“It was always a lot of trash talk that went on, but ever since I came here, I’ve known them all, so they all brought me in, too; they were some of my first friends on the team,” Lozeau said.
